Brisbane Registry Office Wedding {Dakota+Gideon}

They are kind hearted humans that don't need to tell you much to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Both live in Cairns and decided to choose the childhood town of the groom to celebrate an intimate affair. The ceremony was held at the Brisbane Registry Office with just the closest members of their families and later they meet with friends at the Hundred Acre Bar at St. Lucia.

Thank you Dakota & Gideon  for choosing me to document your wedding, it was a huge pleasure and you guys rocked it all the way from start to finish.

Ceremony: Brisbane Registry Office.

Venue: The Hundred Acre Bar-St.Lucia

Florist: Madamebloomflorist.com

Second Shooter: Nick Green

Wynnum Engagement Session

These humans  are one of the sweetest couple I ever photographed. We met for a mini engagement session one day before their wedding  day, choosing the  Wynnum area and later moving to the waterfronts of Manly.   From the first shoot I could see the connection between them and how they complement each other.

Maternity session in Bulimba

Brisbane has been a bit cool during the last couple of days and I love it. It's the perfect wheather  to indulge myself staying longer in bed, my cups of coffee are uncountable and my portions of brownies get bigger. ( Surprisingly my belly stay the same size although  my husband disagrees with that statement)

Well, all was very cozy and yes;  lazy I admit, until I received a message from my French friend Myriam asking me for a Maternity Session as soon as possible. She was due in two weeks ! Mon seigneur! and the photography session couldn't wait for a sunshine day.

These are some of my favorite images from our lifestyle maternity session.

The other Dutch

This is the first time I entered one of my images into the AIPP award system and OMG the process of having your work analysed, loved, destroyed or ignored by the best of the Australia Institute of Professional Photographers is an unmatchable experience.
My photo “The other Dutch” won a Gold Award and I am still shaking with the results.

Coochiemundlo, our next door island

Today I was declutering my hard drive files when I found these photos I took last year while  visiting our friend Martina at Coochiemundlo island.  We spend two days with her charming  family, amused by the simple atmosphere of this tiny land.

To reach the island, we drove to Victoria Point Jetty and took the ferry that arrives every 30 minutes to pick up  islanders and general visitors. Coochie, has just 5 square km and we spend most of our time exploring it's sands, talking with the locals, eating fish and chips, laughing and enjoying our little trip.
